Garage Door Repair for All Those Noisy Openers

You did not think about the garage door maintenance and repair when you bought the garage door. But with the passage of time, its parts may not function as smoothly as they should. They will start making noises and showing troubles.

Although it will be very annoying to those who have a bedroom above or next to the garage door, you will have to lubricate the moving parts of the garage door to fix the horrible sounds. If your garage door is not functioning as it is supposed, it should not be hard to handle. You may also hire a professional garage door company like, garage door repair company in Cincinnati, Ohio to fix the malfunctioned garage door. Following are the simple garage door issues that you can solve easily by yourself.

Loose garage door mounting brackets: It is the easiest garage door repair solution. Garage door mounting brackets including nuts, screws, and bolts may become loose. You should tighten them with the help of a socket wrench or screwdriver. Make sure that they will not be too tight.

Check the garage door rollers: It is possible that old metal rollers become worn out and create a lot of noises as they have to roll up and down on the metal tracks of the garage door. If listen carefully, you will trace the source of noises. If they looked badly damaged, you will have to change the rollers.

If you have a sectional garage door, you will have to buy twelve rollers to fix the garage door. You should consider buying nylon rollers instead of metal ones. They will move smoothly which doesn’t create noise. You don’t need to pay special attention to maintain them. You just need to pay extra money because a set of metal rollers costs about $40 while a set of nylon rollers will available in around $60.

Commonly, a roller is created with the 2-inch roller on a 4-inch stem. It is wise to measure the old rollers before buying the new to make sure that you have got the right product. The best point about this project is that the garage door roller replacement takes only one hour to complete.

Dealing with garage door hinges: another option to reduce the noise is to replace the garage door hinges. These hinges are work as a stem of rollers which will become damaged due to frequent use. Inspect the hinges thoroughly, if you notice a hole that is oblong instead of being rounded, they should be replaced immediately. If you are not confident enough to find out the source of noises, it is wise to leave it to a professional technician to handle the garage door problems and to avoid the injuries.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

by Brian Fields
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We are living in a fast-paced and labor-driven world.  In the face of capitalism, automation, and globalization, people are more materialistic, individualistic and competitive.  Work and earning for a living have taken up so much of our time.  With these circumstances, it is easy to take for granted the community we live in.  People simply do not have the time and energy for anything else.

But is this really the case?  Has society become so calloused that humans can turn a deaf ear to cries for help?  Is it all just about the money?  If we cannot accept this case, how then do we encourage others to give a part of themselves for what we call the common good?  How can we reach out to others and gain a sense of community?  How can we participate and be involved as responsible citizens of our society aside from the taxes that we pay and those actions mandated by our laws?  We can bridge that gap through CSR.  We do not have to take the people away from their work, but their work can actually be their contribution in making this planet a better place to live in.   Through CSR, people in the business sector can still have a grasp of what the community needs.

We here at Cancana Resources Corporation make sure that we do our part in taking care of the community members in the regions where we operate. We do not just go to one place and exhaust all their natural resources. As a responsible company, we make sure there is sustainability for the environment and the livelihood of the people. We are accountable to the people first and foremost. That is why we make sure to employ locals and come up with programs and services that would benefit them and their environment.

REFLECTIONS ON OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

REFLECTIONS ON OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

I have been a part of Cancana Resources Corporation for more than two years already. We were always deployed on the field to oversee the mining and production operations. Sure that is what I signed up for but what I really appreciate about this company is the genuine concern for the people living in these areas and their environment.

Let me first tell you about my CSR experience.  Our company was pushing for work-life balance. We could choose among the programs and activities lined up by the Public Affairs Unit – to help care for the environment, to read for the kids or to donate to victims of natural disasters. It was mandatory for all staff. And I am so glad that I participated because it was an eye-opener for me.  As an employee, I was proud to be part of a company that sought not just financial gain but to make an impact on social development as well.  But more important than that, as a responsible and concerned citizen, I knew I had to do something for the community where I worked. In my job, we would excavate the soils in different areas for mining. But we make sure we follow environmental rules and regulations to conduct responsible mining. Aside from that, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we also plant lots of trees in the regions where we operate to make sure that there would be roots to keep the soil intact even after mining. In this way, they are not vulnerable to soil erosion, liquefaction, and landslides. We also educate the people about how to take care of their environment and how to prepare for disasters. For them, Cancana Resources Corporation is not just another business company that is out there to make money but they treat us as partners in developing their communities.
